Alexander Kowalski has come a long way. A techno producer and live performer since 1997, he has racked up an impressive volume of work including four solo albums, countless singles and remixes. It all began in the early 90's in Berlin as Kowalski caught wind of the first techno releases that found their way over from Detroit and New York. Soon he was producing his own material and making his debut live appearances at Berlin's premier techno club Tresor. It was here that he got in touch with Pacou, resulting in his first releases on the Tresor label under the pseudonym DisX3. Around that time, he also teamed up with Stassy of Sender Berlin in a collaboration called Double X.

Not long after, his first full-length release "Echoes" appeared on Kanzleramt (2001). But his big breakthrough came with the release of his follow-up album "Progress" in 2002. In the same year he also scored a hit with "Hot Spot" featuring Raz Ohara.

Olivier Mateu’s wide-ranging inspirations and interests find their ultimate outlet as Rodriguez Jr., positioning him as mobilee’s new master of eclecticism.

As one half of French electro act The Youngsters – best known for their two studio albums and singles for Laurent Garnier’s F-Communications – Mateu has already received enough plaudits and praise to last a lifetime. The Youngsters’ award-winning productions catapulted them into the international arena, taking them to some of the biggest clubs and festivals around the world.

Rodriguez Jr. reveals a different incarnation of Mateu’s musical psyche, one that strides ahead, guided only by his kaleidoscopic vision; moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains, Rodriguez Jr. is the by-product of an untamed brand of creativity and a thirst for the new and unexpected. Drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as Stockhausen, LFO, Carl Craig, Eric Satie, Kraftwerk, and Michael Polnareff, Rodriguez Jr.’s spirit of adventure translates as soaring creativity, and music that cannot be pigeonholed.

Ruede is a child of Berlin, almost that is. He was actually born in the rural surroundings of the capital where he decided to move to Berlin in the year 2000. After civil service he left Brandenburg trying to find work as a ricochet in web-agencies, movie-shakes and magazine night-guides. From his proceedings he was able to buy himself his first records.

He is fascinated of the art of mixing and with every night that is being danced, through his drive to express himself he grows. At the same time his passion for writing leads to the long coalition between him and the FLYER Magazine where he worked as an editor for many years making him even more intimate with the Berlin clubbing culture.

Inspired by the clublife, he and his friends decide to found a non-commercial party forum called www.restrealitaet.de that up ´till today is playing an important role for the Berlin Scene.

Both Pete Bandit and Jason Shae have been playing music for over a decade. They got infected with the ‘virus’ after hearing their first tracks over at a friends house and they’ve been ‘sick’ ever since. The first years it was techno, techno and techno. Looking up to guys like Plastikman, James Ruskin and Speedy J, it was understandable that they also made the transition to minimal, or microhouse like it was called back in the days, in 2003. It was simply a reaction ignited by pioneer Richie Hawtin, who paved the way for whoever was willing to listen

In the summer of 2004 Pete Bandit and Jason Shae got together with William Kouam Djoko and Newton Da Costa and started the –by now- famous Jason & The Argonauts live act. They had known each other for quite some time already: they went to the same parties and on occasion they even played together. At first the Jason & The Argonauts was nothing more then an extended DJ set with some live element, William for example was only MCing in the very beginning.

After two years of blood, sweat and tears it finally started paying off; they became the leading liveact in the Dutch minimal house scene. Next to playing at several leading festivals, the four also acquired a residency at the Magnetronik-nights held at Club Poema.

In the mean time, while J&A tearing roofs off all over Holland, Pete Bandit & Jason Shae kept on exploring their own personal tastes of music and playing records was the best way to do so. They found each other in a mix of French funk, Chicago house and stripped down Berlin house. Since the duo is playing with Serato, it’s easy to interweave their own productions into their DJsets, making them more much more personal and effective.

The duo’s fame as DJs is growing larger gig by gig. Stealing the heart of every party freak, bass addict and music lover with a great, steady, rocking groove that takes us back to the Chicago, Miami and New York sounds from back in the days. Their careers are blooming, but their potentials haven’t fully been used yet; without doubt we will hear a lot more from these two in the following years!

At the age of 15 Milan was introduced to genres in music called House and Techno. Intrigued by these innovative sounds from Chicago and Detroit, he became aware of a profound passion for electronic music. Now, almost ten years later, Milan’s entire life revolves around dance music and event organisation.

His music career started to take shape in 2006, when Milan enrolled to study at the Academy for Popculture. Shortly after, he founded the events organization “Eye Nexus” and provided the city of Groningen with an innovative event platform for creative students, and artists from the northern provences of the Netherlands.

During the following years, Eye Nexus succesfully launched the “Our World” concept, an event held aboard a renovated cargo vessel, and the “BeatsBall Festival” at the Groningen City Beach. Early 2010 Milan also launched the Eye Nexus broadcast concept, with a weekly radioshow on XT3 Techno radio, and live video and radio broadcasts from all over the Netherlands. 

Besides being an organiser, Milan also made a name for himself as a DJ, with a residency at Pand48 and recently signing at DAG Booking. Having a packed schedule, one might say Groningen has become a base of operations for this talented entrepeneur.

So what to expect during his DJ sets? Deep, warm, pounding grooves, tailormade to the venue where he is playing. Be it a sunny beach in Greece, a city rooftop bar, or an underground club, he knows how to match his sound to the occasion.

Have you ever heard the tail of the friendly bald DJ that lives up in the North of Holland?... Then you must have heard about Andreas Bergmann. Andreas is mixing for 15 years now, and for the the last five years he played under his alias Andreas Bergmann. Andreas has an Interresting career so far. He played on the biggest festivals and clubs in Holland and has played in several countrys like Italy, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Turkey. Leeuwarden (Holland) is his homebase for the music.

Together with some close friends Andreas started a party organization in 2004 named 'Arthouse'. This organization concentrates on deephouse, techhouse and techno. Or as we say it: 'Cutting Edge House Music'. The monthly Nights at Doozo (Leeuwarden) are not only popular for the music but even more for the ambience arthouse creates. That's why DJ's like Lauhaus, Nuno dos Santos, Michel de Hey and Remy love to come and spin the wheels. To bring his productions skills to the next level, Andreas locked himself up in the studio for some time. This resulted in a more techy, yet deep sound.

In 2007 he joined the label Klopfgeist (www.klopfgeist.com). He released a number of tracks like: 'I Want To Buy A Dog (including a Lauhaus Remix), 'Slippery When Wet' and 'I Will Only Say This Once'. The last EP he released on Klopfgeist was 'The Big Hangover' and was a big hit! Support by 'Richie Hawtin', 'Mihalis Safras', 'Behrouz', 'Troy Pierce' and many more, but there is much more to be released on Klopfgeist in 2011. So keep your ears and eyes open, Andreas Bergmann is one to watch!
